Coping with Postpartum Sleep Deprivation

One of the most common challenges new mothers face after childbirth is sleep deprivation. With nighttime feedings, diaper changes, and your baby’s unpredictable sleep schedule, getting enough rest can feel impossible. Sleep deprivation can lead to mood swings, irritability, and even postpartum depression if not managed.

To combat sleep deprivation, try to nap when your baby naps, even if it’s just for 20 minutes. Enlist your partner or a family member to help with nighttime duties so you can get longer stretches of sleep. Additionally, consider using a baby monitor with night vision, like the Infant Optics DXR-8, to ensure you can rest easy while keeping an eye on your little one.
